Week 3 was another fruitful week which gave us the opportunity to comment on former Webskills participants’ project reports. We were asked to choose one to comment in Nicenet.
I was right away attracted by Aleyda Linares' final project
report. She is a teacher trainer like me; she teaches English to future EFL teachers at National Pedagogical University, Honduras and I appreciated her clear-sighted analysis of her students’ situations; that is, their strengths as well as their weaknesses, the opportunities offered to them and the threats that may undermine the project.I was impressed by the fact that she has always been able to come up with relevant and workable solutions for the benefits of her students and integrating technology in her teaching and engaging her students in technology-enhanced learning through blogging, web questing, and PowerPoint presentation, proved an excellent option.
It is surely clear by now that reading Aleyda Linares’ project report helped me get ‘the big picture’ (as Robert has put it) about my own final project: thorough but concise and straightforward.

Hello Colomba,
ReplyDeleteA great course, a great week - everything is going the right way. We learnt quite enough things during 3 weeks only. But 7 more weeks are on the way. Perhaps, we'll be rather perfect at the end of the course. Don't you think so/
Regards,
Egle
So true, Egle. There is something new every week so we'll surely become more skilled by the end of Week 10.
ReplyDeleteBest,
Colomba
Hi Colomba,
ReplyDeleteI have read somewhere that blogging is the new poetry of contemporary time! Your blog sends me a message that you have a very sound visual sense. It is because you post images first, and then the words. Your selected images prove to be precursors to your words. Pictures speak larger than words.
It seems that we all are enjoying this course thoroughly. I am proud to have classmate like you and all others! I did not even imagine before that I would be fortunate enough to learn with e-mates from almost all around the world ! The world has become really small, Colomba !
Happy e-learning and teaching throughout life! Please keep in touch.
Cheers,
Jit Shalin
Hi Jit,
ReplyDeleteYes, you are right, in fact I believe in the saying that goes: "a picture is worth a thousand words" and even in my teaching, I use pictures a lot. Not only are they more motivating to the students but they also save time and energy; but sometimes, it's frustrating, especially when you cannot find the right picture that can express what you want to say.
Like you, I feel blessed to be given this opportunity to meet people from all over the world and I actually take this opportunity to share some bits of my country with you all. That is why I have put this banner representing 'the Queen's Palace', which is one of the tourist attractions of my city: Antananarivo.
Enjoy!
